Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate’s DLC Towels Defy Physics
Publisher Tecmo Koei announced more downloadable content (DLC) for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. Well, it’s Koei Tecmo now, as they’ve gone the way of Bandai Namco and switched the names up.
Anyway, the Bath & Bedtime DLC is once more right up the alley of developer Team Ninja’s fixation on sexualized imagery. This particular piece of content adds ten items of cloth-related garments for its fighters, broken down as such:
- Marie Rose
Koei Tecmo calls these “costumes,” but that’s honestly only partially true. There are jammies, gown, nighties and so on; that much is true.
Still, the bath selection consists mostly of just a towel wrapped around the fighters’ torsos, while another piece is just a shirt. Basically, you’ve caught these ladies at the least opportune time to fight and they just grabbed whatever was handy.
Interestingly enough, the Bath & Bedtime DLC of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate does not contain any male fighter outfits. Dudes don’t wear pajamas.
To install this DLC, you’ll need to also go grab the Costume Catalog 15, which is a free download. Additionally, this only works for the latest update of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate.
Team Ninja are a strange bunch. Along with this long-running franchise, the company is also responsible for the Ninja Gaiden series, which recently turned weird with Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.
In between plentiful DLC for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, the developer is currently also helping out with the production of Hyrule Warriors. That game has costumes too.
