Prepare Yourself for Dark Souls 2: Crown of the Old Iron King DLC

By   /   Aug 3, 2014

The official Japanese website for Dark Souls 2 has posted a teaser image for the upcoming second DLC installment, Crown of the Old Iron King. The image features a rather fancy crown and contains the following text, translated courtesy of Reddit user Delicious_Skal:

Chapter 2 The Crown of the Iron King

DLC content volume 2.

At the end of Iron Keep, lies a sot and smoke covered stage called the “Tower of Black Mist”, and another challenge for one of the lost crowns.

Erected within the untrodden crater are the shadows of a glorious past.

Players who have not purchased the DLC can also be summoned to the more difficult area.

From the text it’s safe to assume that the large tower in the horizon, which you can spot near the Old Iron King boss fight, is the location where the second DLC will take place.

Dark Souls 2: Crown of the Old Iron King is scheduled for release on August 26 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It comes hot in the wake of the first DLC, Crown of the Sunken King. The last DLC in the trilogy is called Crown of the Ivory King and is scheduled to release on September 24.
