LittleBigPlanet 3 Out In November With PS3 Version Too
LittleBigPlanet 3 will be out this year, as the release date just got announced for November 18, 2014. Additionally, the game will expand on its Playstation 4 version with an additional Playstation 3 edition.
Announced at E3 this year during a rather awkward presentation, LittleBigPlanet 3 features four player cooperative mode as one of its prime features. Mascot Sackboy, which is a horrible name out of context, will partner up with some new friends.
Each character in the game will have their own particular look and set of abilities. Together, they’ll need to combine these singular elements to overcome platform puzzles set across the cute universe of the franchise.
Additional characters are called OddSock, Toggle and Swoop. Some are heavier characters that affect gravity, while others can fly.
Together with the release date and extra version of LittleBigPlanet 3, there are also some cosmetic items ready for launch.
For the PS4 version of the game, you’ll be able to get a Dragon Age: Inquisition Costume Pack on day one of launch. Another is the Playstation 4 the Players Pack, which comes with Dhalsim Delsin from inFamous, Drake from Uncharted, Ellie from The Last of Us and a Helghast from Killzone.
These versions will be complimentary with a preorder for LittleBigPlanet 3. Additionally, select retail preorders will receive a Mythical Creatures, Hidden Animals or Playstation Favorites Costume Pack, with the latter featuring Journey, Tearaway and Sly Cooper outfits, among others.
A digital preorder comes with a LittleBigPlanet 3 T-shirt pack that will also unlock in the PS3 version. It’s a slimmer incentive, but that pack becomes available instantly and it’s retroactive to be wearable in LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet Vita and even LittleBigPlanet Karting.
These preorders are for North America only. Incentives for LittleBigPlanet 3 in Europe will be detailed soon.
It’s some pretty amazing fan service to return to an older version of the game, to satisfy the old user base. Moreover, the E3 announcement stated that all community-created content would be usable in LittleBigPlanet 3 instantly.
