Zelda’s Link Is In Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate On 3DS Now
Publisher Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will receive special Nintendo content. In the 3DS exclusive, you’ll be able to sport some flair from The Legend of Zelda.
Basically, the move will let your characters cosplay Link in the roleplaying game (RPG) about bashing giant monsters to bits. This comes with the character’s iconic green suit and floppy hat.
Additionally, the Master Sword of the series will be a weapon in the game, as well as a Hyrulean shield and a bow. In the clip, we even hear some sound effects from the Zelda series, but it’s uncertain whether this will also be available or if it’s done for comical effect.
Even though the yellow hair and everything matches up, you don’t actually fully play Link in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate though. You’ll retain the mannerisms of your character.
There is even more crossover content coming to Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Hints of Mario and Luigi headed to the RPG in some form are already floating around.
Nintendo is growing increasingly more lenient with its franchises. In previous news, the Hyrule Warriors game on Wii U showed off some action with little to no other connection to the Zelda, other than characters like Darunia.
In turn, Nintendo is also reaching out to corporate ties with the announcement of Mercedes content in Mario Kart 8. Hopefully, we’ll see more of the former than the latter.
There’s no solid release date for the European and North American 3DS release of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. All we have right now is early 2015.
