Rise of Incarnates, Bandai Namco’s free-to-play brawler will undergo a closed PC beta testing phase on Aug. 8, 2014 for ten days, the studio announced at San Diego ComicCon 2K14.

Over the course of beta, players will be able to choose their characters from Mephistopheles, Lilith, Grim Reaper, and Ares and take on each other in real time locations like New York City. Not only this, but on Aug. 13, 2014, players will receive an additional character and stage; Brynhildr and Paris, to add more replayability value.

Furthermore, players will also be able to make in-game purchases to carry out the character customization and test out the new gameplay mechanics like Awakening System and Skill Cubes.

Graphics enthusiasts will be able to adjust the in-game graphical settings like screen resolutions (a feature which was absent from the game’s alpha test). The developers have stated that they have made quite a few changes since the game’s alpha version and it offers something to both new and returning players.

Being developed by the same team who worked on iconic game franchises like Tekken and Soul Calibur, Rise of Incarnates is scheduled to release later this year as a free-to-play title.
