The Legend of Zelda: Link Will Face “A New Formidable Enemy”
Eiji Aonuma, the man behind the new Legend of Zelda Wii U and many of its predecessors, has hinted that Link this time will have to confront “a new formidable enemy.”
Over at the game’s official website, nested in Nintendo’s own, the producer wrote (roughly translated): “This software is the Wii U version of the new ‘Legend of Zelda’ series. This vast Zelda world is without boundaries and Link will challenge a new mystery, a new formidable enemy.”
Previously it was widely assumed that the dark wizard Ganon would be being featured as the game’s main villain. However, judging from Aonuma’s latest statement, that might not be the case. It’s also very possible that Nintendo will introduce the “new formidable enemy” and also bring back Gannon late in the game.
Only time will tell as to what Nintendo is cooking up in the new Zelda game. The recent E3 reveal last month blew everyone away where Nintendo showcased the game’s open world environment. It was beautiful.
Eiji Aonuma is acting as producer on the game and previously revealed that this time, he’ll be making sure that the game gets fewer tutorials compared to Skyward Sword.
The Legend of Zelda Wii U is scheduled for release sometime next year. If this game doesn’t help the console in some fiery sales, nothing will.
