Dragon Age: Inquisition – Varric Poses With His Crossbow
BioWare has released a couple of screenshots featuring the dwarf party member Varric Tethras from Dragon Age: Inquisition. In all of the shots, he’s seen posing with his powerful crossbow and staring down an unseen assailant.
“Mages and templars, and innocent people caught in the middle. Some things never change,” reads a quotation by the Varric character in the game.
Varric is the only part-member in Dragon Age: Inquisition who has also appeared in the previous Dragon Age 2 installment. There’s also Leliana, who was there in Dragon Age: Origins. She however serves only as an adviser in Inquisition and is unable to join the player’s party as a companion.
Boasting a monstrous crossbow, Varric can be well expected to be able to dish out painful amounts of damage from afar. Until yesterday, Varric was all prepared to go into battle on October 7, because that’s when the game was scheduled for release. EA however, has decided to push the game back by a month.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will now release on November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe. No technical reason was provided for the delay but it’s assumed that the developer needed more time in order to squash the game’s bugs.
Inquisition was not the only game of EA to be delayed. The publisher also decided on delaying Battlefield: Hardline to 2015 which in my view is an excellent decision. In the wake of the abysmal Battlefield 4, Hardline needs everything but a quick release.
