Pocket Maplestory Announced, Coming to Korea in September

Have you been a fan of the Maplestory universe? More importantly, have you played Maplestory Live, the mobile version of the game? If you have, you’re probably of the opinion that the game should have had some more features. Apparently, it is not going to get any but it looks like you can get a new game: Pocket Maplestory!

Nexon Korea has announced another mobile title for the game and although it is not a massively multiplayer online role playing game that you expected, it still has online multiplayer as well as some pretty classy customizations.

There will be more than 400 quests for you to undertake with a total of five playable characters. Each one of them can be customized in 14 different parts including accessories, armor and weapons.

The last we heard of Maplestory was back in May when the developers were celebrating the game’s 7th anniversary. The festivities started on May 28, 2014 and lasting for two whole weeks until June 11 that left a lot of the players exhausted or up the progress bar.

However, don’t get confused, the seventh anniversary was for the game’s western release; it has been around in the Korean market since 2003.

Even now, the Pocket Maplestory has been announced for Korea alone which would be a shame because I am sure there would be many among you who would jump on the opportunity to get the game on your Android or iPhone.

So far, what we know is that you will be able to get the game in Korea on iPhones from October and on Android a month earlier i.e. September.
