Destiny: Iron Banner Mode Announced to Return During Beta
Those hoping for Destiny’s Iron Banner Mode to return would be happy to know that their wish has been granted.
While live-streaming the game, Community Manager David “Deej” Dague mentioned that the specific event would return multiple times before the end of the beta.
However, it has to be noted that the Iron Banner event will only appear for two hours, similar to how it was originally.
This is great news for the Xbox owners, whose beta access will begin from July 23. It was previously feared that the event won’t return after its initial showing and that the Xbox owners would then be unable to experience it.
According to the official Twitter account of Bungie, the Iron Banner event will take place three times: “IRON BANNER will resume tonight at 7PM, as well as tomorrow 7/20 at 2PM and 7PM (PDT). Gear up. Tell your friends.”
In other news, Destiny players can move their Guardian from one console generation to the next.
“Just like hopping worlds, you can use the same Guardian on Next Gen and Legacy Gen consoles – so long as you stay in the same system,” said Bungie. “Ergo, you can move from PlayStation to PlayStation and from Xbox to Xbox, but not across product lines.”
If you’ve been playing the Destiny beta this week, tell us below how your experience was and if it really deserves all the hype of being the best release this year.
Destiny releases on September 9 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
