New Trailer And Site For Styx: Master of Shadows
While there’s no longer really a need for dedicated pages, Styx: Master of Shadows now has its snazzy own website with news and assets and such. It starts this off with a brand new trailer that displays a cinematic reel of some of the protagonist’s abilities.
This third-person game is played through titular character Styx, a 200-year old goblin with some powers and abilities that come in handy for infiltration. Therefore, Styx: Master of Shadows is a stealth action game, not unlike peers such as Assassin’s Creed.
In the clip, Styx wanders around the Tower of Akenash, which will be the prime location in the game with its many arches, ledges and hiding spots. It sports the distinctive faded color style of Bound by Flame developer Cyanide Studio.
One of the abilities Styx holds is the power to create a mock goblin, a creature that walks just like the real deal, but evaporates on contact. This decoy can create a distraction, while the real version skulks around and passes guards.
At the end, we also get to see a larger creature, probably an orc, since the game is the successor to Of Orcs and Men, from the same company. Additionally, the video shows just how huge the level design should be.
Styx: Master of Shadows will launch in September for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4. It involves a lot of climbing, sneaking, looking behind corners and eventually murdering people from behind.
