Sacred 3: Latest Trailer Shows Off Co-Op Action

Deep Silver has released a new CGI trailer for its upcoming hack ‘n slash RPG Sacred 3, which shows off the game’s competitive and co-op gameplay.

Being able to survive on your own is appreciated. However, it’ll take more than that to defeat the countless enemies of the evil empire. What you’ll need is a good strong team. Some enemies are extremely powerful and can only be taken down through the combination of your powers with other champions. This helps cast devastating co-op combos that will make it easier to wipe out the waves.

At the end the game will put forward a score sheet detailing which hero is the “undisputed champion over his or her peers.” This also puts a dash of fierce competition, alongside the need of working together with your team.

In Sacred 3 players can choose between a variety of classes, with each boasting a unique set of skills. The game features a four-player co-op where it will assign three AI champions by your side if you’re joining in solo. We can’t really expect the same level of gameplay from AI. Hence, I doubt all this combo-mania will be perfectly executed, unless you’re playing with your friends or at least other human players.

Sacred 3 is scheduled for release on August 5 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Pre-ordering the game will grant you access to the blood mage champion Malakhim as well as the Underworld story DLC, Z4ngr13f weapon spirit, artbook, and soundtrack.
