Crackdown reveal for Xbox One at E3 caught everyone by surprise, but since revealing the third entry in the series, developers have been pretty quiet on the subject until today.

In an interview with Total Xbox, game’s creative director Ken Lobb has revealed bunch of new information about the game, saying that it will include single player campaign, co-op and a mash-up of both of them.

You’re playing the game, it’s single, it’s co-op, it’s a mash-up. Choose at will in the game, instead of hiding behind menus and loads and lobbies. [We’re trying to make] the gameplay as if it’s one big thing.

Lobb also confirmed that the upcoming entry in the famous franchise is set in a completely different timeline from the previous two titles, which is why, it will not be called Crackdown 3.

The first game in the series managed to attract a lot of fans, due to its open world gameplay, which allowed players to take their own approach to the missions, instead of being given the linear pathways.

The game also featured two players co-op mode, which had to be played via Xbox Live. It will be interesting to see what developers have in store for us when they finally unveil the gameplay of the third entry in famous franchise.

Crackdown for Xbox One has just been announced so don’t expect the game to release anytime soon.
