Super Smash Bros. Gets More Fire Emblem Characters and Captain Falcon
Douglas Jay Falcon AKA Captain Falcon of F-Zero has been confirmed to make it to the roster of Super Smash Bros. along with Lucina, Robin, and Female version of Robin from Fire Emblem: Awakening.
Yesterday, the game’s creator Masahiro Sakurai promised a new character reveal and stated they were nearing the bottom of the stash of new challengers:
Looks like we’re nearing the bottom of the stash of new challenger videos that we’ve made… Like always, we put a lot of effort into it, so I hope you’ll enjoy watching it live.
Coming back to the characters, along with Marth and Ike, the total number of characters from ‘Fire Emblem: Awakening’ are now four.
Judging from the trailer, it looks like Robin has a number of spells at his/her disposal, while Lucina is solely dependent upon cutting down her enemies which makes her more agile, but less damage dealing than Robin.
As for Captain Falcon, the punching master is living upto the hype created by his online memes and we got to see some of his signature moves.
Lastly, the trailer also showcased Chrom, but Nintendo has confirmed that he will not be a playable character, but will only appear as an Assist Trophy.
Super Smash Bros. is scheduled to release on Nintendo 3DS this summer and on Nintendo Wii U this winter.
