Monster Hunter 4G Limited Edition Announced for Japan
It looks like there is a Monster Hunter 4G Limited Edition in the making! The news was announced by Capcom through the 4Gamer website only a couple of hours ago.
The contents of the 4G Limited Editions (based on translation of the Japanese page) tell that the game will come alongside four figurines of characters from the game along with a set of their weapons. At least two of them look decent in size. Other than that you will be getting a stuffed mascot that you can hang on to your bag.
All this is going to be priced at 8900 Yens and you will probably get it by early 2015.
Now that we know what the expected contents of the Monster Hunter 4G are going to be, a price comparison would be nice if you look at the original game it costs around 5800 Yens for the physical copy and 5546 Yens for the download.
Comparing that to the 8900 Yen that the 4G Limited Edition is expected to cost I think they have really put a cheap price tag on it. After all, there are going to be four figures and a stuffed mascot too!
Now for a bit of a background check. Monster Hunter 4 was released in Japan on September 14, 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS handheld. Sometime later, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was announced for the Japanese as well as the western markets. It is expected to be released in Japan on October 11, 2014 while the North American and European release dates have not been finalized yet. 2105 is the expected year of release.
If the Monster Hunter 4G Limited Edition is coming to Japan alone, it doesn’t look probably that it will be made available for the western markets. Don’t you think?
