Diablo 3 is Coming to China Thanks to the Collaboration With NetEase
Blizzard has announced that one of its most popular games, Diablo 3, is finally going to make its way to China.
This announcement was made through Blizzard’s official website, where they wrote that Diablo 3 will be coming to China with the collaboration of NetEase, Inc.
CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment Mike Morhaime had few words to share upon this big moment:
We’re excited to be able to welcome the many passionate gamers in mainland China to Sanctuary. We appreciate all the support Chinese gamers have shown us over the years and hope they have a great time playing Diablo III.
CEO of NetEase, Inc. William Ding also commented on its collaboration with Blizzard:
We’re very excited that with our effort, all five of Blizzard Entertainment’s game series will be delivered to Chinese players. We’ll continue to work closely with Blizzard to prepare for a smooth Diablo III launch in China so that local gamers can start playing this epic adventure as soon as possible.
Diablo 3 will be the fifth Blizzard game to be released in China following Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft.
Diablo 3, on its launch day managed to sell more than 3.5 million copies making it the fastest selling PC video game of all time and according to the recent reports, the game has sold over 15 million copies across all platforms.
However, expect this sales figure to increase even more next month, when Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition launches for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
