Uncharted Remastered Edition Might Come to PS4
Since the arrival of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, many developers have been releasing the visually improved remakes of their famous last-gen titles and it looks like that Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series is going to join in.
In a response to a question asked by Eurogamer about any new remakes for PS4, Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida said:
There are requests from some consumers for games that were released later in the generation, like Uncharted, which people might have missed. That would be a good candidate. We don’t want to flood the market with remade games either.
That’s lots of people that missed exclusive PS3 titles like The Last of Us, so it’s a great way to welcome those people back to PlayStation, saying this is what you missed.
Large number of remakes are now being made for next-gen consoles, which is good for the players who have missed out on the game before, but for players who have already played these games to tehir full potential don’t have a lot to look forward to, except for the improved visuals.
Better visuals are certainly not a bad thing but they are only interesting if you haven’t played the game, otherwise spending money on the game that you have played multiple times before, seems a complete waste to me.
Alongside Uncharted series, there have been rumors that Beyond: Two Souls might be getting a Remastered edition for PlayStation 4 as well.
What do you think of this remake trend that has taken over the gaming lately?
