Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Won’t Have Branching Stories
Although it might not come as a surprise to the people who have been a fan of COD games for a long time, but you’re in for disappointment if you were expecting branching stories and different choices to choose from the storyline of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.
The game’s creative director, Bret Robbins has recently confirmed that everyone will experience the same story:
“Very early on we decided that we would tell a single story and that really came out of the desire to focus all of our energy on telling one very good story, and we’re really happy with the story we have created so there is no branching storyline. Everyone that plays the game will experience the same story, which I actually like. I think it’s a great story and I want everyone to enjoy it.”
What is known about the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare story is that it is going to be set sometime in the future with political elements at play in the background.
Jonathan Irons, played by Kevin Spacey is one of the pivotal characters of the game who was highlighted in the reveal trailer. He is most of what we know about the game’s story as well. For instance, he is leading Atlas, a private military corporation and believes that democracy is outdated.
He says that removing dictatorships, giving rights to disagree, spreading tolerance have all failed and now what the world needs is simply the leaders who can keep ‘chaos at bay.’
