Destiny Beta Features Four Story Chapters, Four Crucible Maps, and Strike
New information surfacing on the web tells us what content we can expect to see in the upcoming beta event of Destiny.
According to an image posted online by Reddit user zebruh, the beta will feature “four story chapters, four competitive multiplayer maps, a cooperative Strike, and a huge world to explore with your own unique Guardian.” The image is allegedly said to be a letter sent to GameStop managers for marketing and promotion.
We still have no official confirmation from either the publisher or developer at this point; but it’s safe to assume that the online posted image is authentic.
The four maps mentioned here are probably Shores of Time (Venus), Rusted Lands (Earth), Blind Watch (Mars), and First Light (Earth’s Moon).
Destiny’s beta is almost upon us and will launch this Thursday, July 17 on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 first. The beta will then shift to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles on Wednesday, July 23, almost a week after.
Beta codes will be sent to the respective users via email or Bungie.net profiles on the same day when the beta begins on the consoles.
Destiny will officially launch on September 9 and is a highly anticipated release this year. Analysts already believe that the futuristic shooter with RPG elements will be the biggest seller of the year and may end up rivaling the sale figures of Grand Theft Auto V.
