PayDay 3 Incoming? PayDay 2 Dev Puts Teaser Countdown on Website

By   /   Jul 11, 2014

PayDay 2 developer Overkill Software has put up a teaser countdown sub-page on its Official Website.

With a total of 32 days to go by, the subpage is titled “What’s Next” and plays the audio conversation between a man and a woman, discussing the meaning of an oxymoron. Underneath the countdown, links to Overkill Software’s Facebook Page and Twitter Feed are also provided – I would recommend keeping them saved for future announcements.

IGN reports that although the sub-page looks like a simple flash animation, the source code of the page has revealed it to be a YouTube video running on a loop. The scene showcases a run-down room having a radiator, a light switch, and a broken door.

Another interesting thing is that the timer is set to expire on the one year anniversary of the release of PayDay 2.

It is also worth noting that the developer is currently working on porting PayDay 2 to Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Dubbed as PayDay 2: Crimewave Edition, the port has been announced by Starbreeze Studios.

Another meek possibility can be a new DLC for PayDay 2. Though it seems highly unlikely, we cannot rule out any possibility.

And lastly, is PayDay 3 here already? Only a month to go and we will find out!

In the meanwhile, tell us what do you speculate from it?
