Shadow of Mordor Screenshot Shows Uruk, the Horned Orc
Are you a fan of The Lord of the Rings universe? Well, who isn’t? Anyhow, the game brought back out attention to itself at E3 last month and now we have another reason to talk about it. The developers of Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor have released a screenshot showcasing an Uruk who looks really menacing.
The official Facebook page for the game uploaded the image yesterday with the caption ‘you want a fight? All’s you gotta do is ask!’ well, I say let October come and I might.
For those who do not know, Uruk are an advanced breed of Orcs that were originally created by Sauron. They were first seen in the Third Age and have been used by Sauron and Saruman both.
Monolith Productions and Behavior Interactive (for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) have been hard on the development of the game and we saw the depth of efforts that they have put in to how the game looks at this year’s E3.
A couple of days after that we were also informed that Shadow of Mordor will have Uruk Captains for every play through which explains why one of them is being showcased specially through the screenshot in question.
Naturally you will be interested in finding out when you will get the first chance to get your hands on a copy of Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor. The game is slated for a worldwide release on October 7, 2014 to Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 as well as Xbox One.
