Hyrule Warriors Fi’s Abilities, Weapons, and Character Leveling Detailed

By   /   Jul 10, 2014

Japanese magazine Famitsu revealed Fi from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword as the newest playable character in Hyrule Warriors, a couple of days back.

Closely following the character’s reveal, this week’s issue of Famitsu shared a plethora of details regarding the character and weapons at her disposal.

Famitsu reports that Fi has fluid movement with the ability to lunge into the air and transforming herself into a gigantic sword, breaking hell onto her opponents.

In addition to this, the Ball and Chain is a new weapon which is used alongside Power Gloves to carry massive objects and target enemies with them.

The magazine also shed some light on the character leveling mechanics. The simplest way of leveling up characters is by defeating enemies, but players can also level up their characters by spending rupees with increasing cost for each successive level.

Moreover, Rupees combined with rare materials can also be used to design badges. The badges are there to help a player in combat. Fallen enemies will drop common as well as rare material.

The prerequisite items to design a badge can be found at the Badge Shop.

And finally, the magazine showed Zelda using the Wind Waker as a powerful weapon to call forth tornados and strong winds to assist her during the battle.

Hyrule Warriors is slated to release this August in Japan and September in North America, exclusively for Nintendo Wii U.
