Happy 10th Birthday To Rising Star Games
Publisher Rising Star Games is officially old enough to get into double digits. Today, the company announced its ten year anniversary, which comes with a little clip for emphasis.
Play the trailer, even if it’s just to listen to the music, because it has some rocking beats. It also reveals that Rising Star Games helped to publish over 100 games in their career.
Some of the games we recognize in the clip are Harvest Moon, No More Heroes and Deadly Premonition. You may need to give us a hand with some of those anime characters.
Together with the announcement, Rising Star Games mentioned that it will be holding some special events for the rest of 2014. More details on those are coming shortly.
Rising Star Games is mostly known as a localization effort, taking on Japanese titles and bringing them to other regions. It now does so for both North American and Europe.
Still, the company is no stranger to other titles as well. For instance, it snapped up Cloudbuilt, an ambitious platform title that recently was released on PC, after a lengthy Steam Greenlight campaign.
Later this year, Rising Star Games will help release indie games Tulpa, a puzzle title, but also Kromaia, a shoot ‘em up. Both those projects will launch on PC.
Handheld fans are probably well acquainted with the company, as it does quite a bit of work for 3DS and Vita releases. For instance, it published Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward.
So, a bunch of titles are already here and probably a lot more are to come. Let us know your favorite Rising Star Games in the comments.
