Evolve Lets You Print Your Own 3D Action Figurines

By   /   Jul 10, 2014

Long gone are the days when you walked yourself to a retailer and bought action figurines for your collection. Well, not anymore. 3D printing has been out there for quite a while now, and Turtle Rock Studios has discovered one of its best uses – in gaming industry, at least.

Turtle Rock Studios and 2K Games have announced that players can print their own 3D Evolve Hunters and Monsters action figurines, using printing files from the Game’s Official Weblog. Once you have downloaded your desired file, simply walk upto the 3D printer in your house and voila!

However, in case someone does not own a 3D printer, they can go to places like Sculpteo, Shapeways, and Thinniverse, upload their files and the printers will take care of the rest.

In order to download your desired artwork, head over to the game’s official website and check the ‘About’ section for Hunters and Monsters.

Turtle Rock Studios has also provided a video walkthrough, which you can check above!

Evolve is scheduled to release across Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on Oct. 21, 2014.

Do you think more developers ought to follow the lead of Turtle Rock Studios and 2K Games in providing such services? Let us know!
