Battlefield 4: Patch 1.03 Live, Brings Fixes and New Game Mode
The latest patch for Battlefield 4 is now live and weighs in at a massive 1.03GB.
Logging into the Origin client will have your copy of Battlefield 4 automatically start downloading the new update. Be wary though. When the client pops up a message telling that the update has been downloaded and is awaiting your request to start installing, do not cancel the message; else it will discard everything an will have to download it all again later on.
The patch brings a lot of fixes, including a remedy for when players were able to duplicate Battle Pickups by repeatedly picking up a kit, where field upgrades would stop working after one round when players had reached the max field upgrade level, when a crash would occur after a player left a round, an more.
The annoying bug of a water splash effect on your screen after crashing an EOD/MAV/SUAV into the water has been fixed. Mantle has been improved as well.
The patch is pretty much similar across all platforms. You can go through the entire patch notes for your platform of choice here.
The update probably acts as a pre-patch to the upcoming Dragon’s Teeth DLC which is schedule to launch next week. The new DLC will a four new multiplayer maps set in Asian cities: Lumphini Garden, Pearl Market, Propaganda, and Sunken Dragon. Additionally players will get to add five new weapons to their arsenal as well, as well being able to handle a remotely-operated armored ground vehicle, R.A.W.R, and the ballistic shield. Finally the Dragon’s Teeth DLC will also bring 10 new assignments with unlocks for each, and a new game mode calle Chain Link.
