Call of Duty: World At War 2 From Treyarch Coming Next Year?
As we already know, Activision has tasked three of its studios to create a Call of Duty game each year: with Infinity Ward releasing their title last year and Sledgehammer’s Advanced Warfare coming this fall, it was certain that next year’s game will be developed by Treyarch.
Now the interesting part is that apparently, a new box art has been leaked, which suggests that Treyarch’s next year title will be called Call of Duty: World at War 2.
See the box art in all its glory in the image below:
As you can see on the bottom right of the cover, it says Treyarch, who previously developed Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which according to a recent report is played more than the recent entry in the series, Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Call of Duty: World at War was released in 2008, and after that Activision decided to take series into whole new direction by creating the game that is set in the modern world, instead of the World War time.
It seems that Activision has decided to bring new kinds of settings with every single title now, with upcoming entry Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare set in 2054, and Call of Duty: World At War 2, taking people almost a century back (if it’s real).
However, there is no official confirmation of this news so far, so it must be taken as rumor for the time being, but we will update the article, if developer reveals more.
Do you want Treyarch to take the series back in the World War 2 setting with Call of Duty: World At War 2?
