Shadow Warrior was first released in 1997 and then an HD version of the game made its way to PC on 26th of September last year, and now it seems that the game will be releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One via retails stores this September.

This is according to couple of new listings that have just popped up on GameFly, which reveals that the game will be hitting the shelves on Sept. 23 later this year.

Upon its release last year, the game mostly got fairly decent reviews from the critics who praised it for the overall gameplay and intriguing, funny story elements.

Other reviewers liked the sword play of the game, and many people stated that sword was actually the best feature of Shadow Warrior.

In the game, you are put in shoes of Lo Wang, who is an assassin that works for powerful Japanese Industrial figure Orochi Zilla.

At the beginning, you are given a task to take the ancient katana from a collector “Mizayaki” for the total of $2 Million, who then refuses to give it, so Lo Wang has to force the issue, but things do not go as planned.

Although a PS4 and Xbox One version will be a great news, however, until something is officially confirmed by the developer, this news should just be taken as a rumor.
