Bayonetta 2 Multiplayer Will Have ‘A Range of Powerful Characters’ to Choose From

By   /   Jul 4, 2014

Contrary to the popular speculation, Bayonetta 2 will have more than two characters to choose from in the game’s multiplayer mode.

Platinum Games’ sequel to 2009’s action hack and slash title, Bayonetta 2 is close at hand. With an October release date to go by, the final bits and pieces of information are starting to surface online; the latest being about the game’s multiplayer mode.

Ever since the multiplayer reveal of the game, everyone speculated that the players will be able to choose Bayonetta and Jeanne in sort of monster slaying action. However, it turns out, this is not the case; not entirely true, at least!

If you head over and take a look at the game’s official European microsite, you will see the underrated multiplayer mode entitled as, “Infinite Tag Climax” with a brief description that reads:

Team up with others online to defeat powerful enemies. Choose from a range of powerful characters, and give angels and demons a beating that’s as brutal as it is beautiful.

So far, this is the only thing that we have learned! It’s not clear which these characters will be or are there going to be any returning characters from the first Bayonetta title.

What are your thoughts on this?

Bayonetta 2 is scheduled to release on Sep. 20, 2014 in Japan and on October, 2014 in North America and Europe, exclusively for Nintendo Wii U.
