Minecraft’s Snapshot 14w27a Has Bunnies! Yes, You Can Breed Them Too
Minecraft’s latest Snapshot, pre-release update, brings with it some bug fixes, an improved debug world type and bunnies. Yes that’s right! These furry creatures have now invaded the blocky realms of Minecraft.
Intent on total world domination, the bunnies when spawned come with baby bunnies as well. Why take over the world alone when you can have your whole family do it right?
There are a total of 8 different varieties of rabbits in game. They can be tamed using carrots and later used for breeding purposes. More rabbits! When killed (but why would you do that you monster!) the rabbits drop leather, rabbit meat and rabbit’s feet which can be used to make a potion of leaping.
Oh, and there’s a slight chance (1 in 1,000) that you will spawn The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog which as the name suggests is out to kill anyone it encounters.
The bug fixes include from the Snapshot include:
- Player can no longer be pushed around by mobs while on horseback
- Horse no longer tries to breed with another horse that is not yet in Love mode
- Mushrooms don’t lose their name (from name tag) when sheared
As always, players should be careful when installing Snapshots since they aren’t final updates and can corrupt the game world.
