Spintires Has Sold More Than 100K Copies in Less Than a Month
After getting successfully funded on Kickstarter last year, Spintires got released on Steam a few weeks back and managed to get the top spot due to its sales, which recent report indicates has crossed the 100,000 mark in such a short period of time.
If you are not familiar with this title, then you should know that Spintires is a game about taking big trucks to transport the logs through an extremely muddy and difficult terrains.
After this success and support that game has managed to get, developers are looking to expand it with new updates and DLCs, which will add new content including new trucks, new paths and new garages.
I am very proud that my company and my team have fulfilled the wishes of many — by producing a game for the off-roading genre. Clearly, this muddy adventure was a good choice and we will endeavor to improve the platform with free updates and DLC.
People who backed the project last year, must be really delighted to see that the game is doing so well and their money wasn’t wasted.
It is good to see a game that was developed with the support of fans, doing so well in the market against some really big AAA titles, that have support of some big publishers.
