Rise of the Tomb Raider Gets a Prequel Novel in October this Year
Have you been following everything that went down in the Tomb Raider series so far? If you have, you must have noticed that there are certain connecting bridges to be made between the storyline of the titles.
It looks like the developers of the series know just what to do; a new Tomb Raider novel has been announced to make sure you know what shaped up Rise of the Tomb Raider
Fanatics for the Lara Croft series – and Lara Croft herself – will be highly interested in finding out what happened between the 2013 Tomb Raider title and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
That is exactly what Crystal Dynamics and BradyGames are aiming to address with Tomb Raider: The Ten Thousand Immortals novel.
It is being written by comic book writer and novelist Dan Abnett and Nik Vincent.
According to the official synopsis, Lara Croft is ‘haunted by what she was forced to endure in order to survive her first adventure,’ and while she is trying to put the Yamatai island ordeal behind her, she faces another matter of life and death.
Her friend Sam needs saving from a toxic overdose. We’ll have to wait and see how that connects with Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Desperate for a remedy, Lara searches for anything that could help Sam. A wisp of hope arising from a myth gives Lara purpose: the story of an ancient and mysterious artifact that could heal her dying friend, and possibly help explain the supernatural events she witnessed on Yamatai.
While she has her own reasons in pursuing the treasure, she isn’t the only one at it. Tomb Raider novel introduces shadowy societies, magnates, and lethal henchmen who are after it as well.
Tomb Raider: The Ten Thousand Immortals releases in October! Wonder if that is close to when we will get Rise of the Tomb Raider?
