Child of Light Out Now On Vita, Still Cute
It was announced a little earlier, but stylish adventure Child of Light is out now on Playstation Vita. It’s perfect if you’ve been waiting to go on a journey while on the go.
In Child of Light, you play as a young girl on a quest to save her land. She must rescue the moon and the stars, literally, from evil. She’s a child of light, you see.
This takes form in two distinct ways. Primarily, the action on the screen presents itself as a side-scrolling puzzle platform title.
With the help of a glowing light, you can access spots the girl can’t reach and block off enemies roaming on the field. All of this is put in a stylish, wavy package of cute characters and colorful tones.
Its second part consists of traditional combat sections, like old roleplaying games (RPG). Characters take turn smashing each other from either side of the screen.
There are also crafting elements in Child of Light, as well as enhancing mechanisms and so on. It’s a pretty robust RPG.
Previously, the game already caught the attention of critics. Currently, Child of Light varies between 75 and 80 for most Metacritic scores.
Child of Light is available for €14.99 on Playstation Network. It’s also possible to get a copy in stores, but the retail version is restricted to the Complete Edition, which includes all the game’s downloadable content for €24.99.
