FIFA 15 Brings Accurate Renders, Visible Breathing, Hair Movement and More in New Trailer
A new video released by EA Sports yesterday for the new FIFA 15 title, makes it clear that the latest installment in its prestigious football franchise is going to trump all of its predecessors.
Improvements made to EA’s proprietary Ignite engine are visible as the video shows how FIFA 15 will offer a “whole new level of visuals.” Character models this time around are going to be authentic, with accurate facial and bodily details, as well as gameplay habits. EA thanked a new lighting system for the very accurate renders of all the character models in-game.
For more in the immersion department, fatigued player’s chests will pule as he breathes. Additionally the game will offer visible breathing and hair movement, which will look best for those with long braids of course.
This time around the jerseys of players will also be effected by the match’s progress. Excessive diving or sliding will make the jerseys dirty with mud and grass. Cleats and slide tackles will now also leave marks on the field.
“From the most realistic players ever created in a FIFA title to fully realized arenas with living pitches, this year we’ve brought a whole new level of visuals to the game,” senior producer Nick Channon says in the video, going on to tease that “incredible visuals are only one part of the FIFA 15 story.”
EA has not confirmed whether all the new said features will be available on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well. Last year the studio decided to release the new features on consoles only because in their view the average PC could not handle it in terms of performance. Perhaps it will make the same decision this year but will alienate the last-gen machines instead.
FIFA 15 is scheduled for release on September 23 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
