PS3 Ar noSurge: Ode to an Unborn Star Headed To US Too
Last week, we talked about Ar noSurge: Ode to an Unborn Star’s localization. Publisher Tecmo Koei announced that the game would be coming to Europe this year, but a North American version wasn’t clear yet.
Well, the good people of Siliconera noticed that Tecmo Koei America spoke up about their localized version. A recent announcement on the publisher’s Twitter feed mentions:
The detail will come later but the game will come to America, too.
In Europe, Ar noSurge will land on Playstation 3 exclusively on September 26. There is also a PS Vita version, but that doesn’t seem to be growing outside of its Japanese release just yet.
In Ar noSurge, players take care of a protagonist duo in either combat or situational events. The game gets its name from a mixture of the Ar tonelico series and Ciel nosurge, which are both made by developer Gust.
For its combat, one character will serve as the warrior of the group, who will be tasked with protecting the other one, who provides support. As a background character, it’s possible to use song magic to deal more damage, once charged up.
Aside from battle, characters will also get to know each other better through a series of conversations. Some of these take place inside the memories of others, but moments can also be had in hot springs, where everything is warm and naked.
There’s an interweaved social element to Ar noSurge as well, where players can win in-game currency by visiting official sites or through the use of real world social media.
