Neil Gaiman’s Wayward Manor Gets A July 15 Release Date
The announcement was made earlier today on the developer’s tumblr in which they also explained the reason for the game’s delay to ensure quality and the best immersive experience after some polishing. The delay also allowed them to add some more content into the game.
The Odd Gentlemen, best known for The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom and Slap Happy Sam’s Stageshow allow players to control a ghost in Wayward Manor. The objective is simple, players have to empty the 1920s New England mansion of its living residents; The Budds.
Wayward Manor is Gaiman’s first entry into video games, whose award-winning works include Coraline and The Graveyard Book as well as The Sandman series of comics. The game also features art from Chuck BB, best known for his work on Spiderman, Fear Agent, and New Avengers.
The game currently has no price tag on Steam but it will most probably be the $9.99 one on Humble Store. Players purchasing the game from Humble Store will also be supporting a charity as 10% of the proceeds go to charity.
