Hearthstone: Curse Of Naxxramas Set To Launch In July
Stated earlier as a Summer 2014, Hearthstone’s Curse of Naxxramas update finally has a release window now which is July 2014 according to Blizzard Entertainment’s community manager Arati on the Battle.net forums.
This singleplayer mode of Blizzard’s recent but highly popular free-to-play card game set in the Warcraft universe puts players against undead AI opponents in Naxxramas. Naxxramas serves as a necropolis to the Scourge, and the battles in Hearthstone will follow a pattern quite similar to the 5-winged Naxxramas raid in World of Warcraft.
The update will add 30 new cards to the game to be acquired in this ‘five’ wing adventure, the first and last of which are free while the others will have to be unlocked using real money or in-game gold.
The price for unlocking those wings still hasn’t been mentioned but according to Arati:
“We are also targeting to reveal pricing details regarding Curse of Naxxramas next week on July 1st, so please keep an eye out for that.”
The folks over at Blizzard are really hard at work trying to implement the new features and fix the bugs before the launch of Curse of Naxxramas, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if the launch isn’t as smooth as players hope it would be since features can behave differently in a test environment and totally opposite when implemented for thousands of players.
