Sniper Elite 3 Launch Trailer Makes Every Second Count
Sniper Elite 3 surely is a game I am hyped for. It’s coming out tomorrow in the European region and it is going to be accompanied by a ballistic launch trailer. It is nothing short of the most intriguing two and a half minutes of my day today.
Just so that you get a taste of what the OSS sniper Karl Fairburne is up to in the World War II, here is an excerpt from the trailer:
“Laying low for days, this could be my only shot. That’s him, no room for error. First things first, silence the guard, hide the body, sweep for intel. Let the officer live, for now. Distract the petrol, watch for reinforcements and leave them a little gift. If I get into that watch tower, the stukas will cover the sound of my rifle. Secure my vantage point, spot my target. Pin point the shot… and make it count! Piece o’ cake.”
Well actually it is not a piece of cake to be honest. There are a lot of aspects that need to be considered and a lot of choices you will need to make. Should you kill that guard or not should you lay low or perch yourself high? Which way would the reinforcements come from? How do you deal with the officer if you don’t kill him right away?
This was just a little over one minute of the game. I am having trouble imagining how cool Sniper Elite 3 is going to be when played in full. Although the game has been released in EU, North American territories are going to get it on July 1, 2014.
