Sacred 3 Cinematic Shows Co-op Heroes Being Jerks
Publisher Deep Silver published released another short cinematic trailer for Sacred 3, which is something it does in fractions now. Previously, the Risen 3 video was also announced in two go’s.
Sacred 3, however, is not quite as somber as Risen 3 with its menacing skulls, brimstone and wild dogs. This clip, even with a frightful goblin, has a bunch more color. Well, that’s right before the goblin gets decapitated, but it gets the point across.
Beheading monsters is also a perfect excuse to hang up trophies in the local hero shanty, but Sacred 3 doesn’t rest there. The vital part this clip wants to illustrate is that fellow champions will be participating in one-upmanship, outdoing each other’s efforts in cooperative mode.
Sacred 3 features up to 4 players in drop in, drop out co-op. It sort of builds on the game’s precursor, Sacred Citadel, which had more of a classic side-scrolling fighting style.
Therefore, you’ll be seeing some familiar faces, such as Seraphim, Ancarian, Khukuhru and the Safiri and a new Malakhim character. Each character has their own sets of skills and weapons for a varied hacking and slashing experience.
With leaderboards and mission stats, players will be encouraged to compete against each other while taking out opponents.
Sacred 3 will be out in North America on August 1, 2014 and a few days later on August 5 for Europe. It releases for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Whoever has been doing Deep Silver’s trailers lately is certainly on a roll. At E3 2014, the company revealed a breezy trailer for Dead Island 2, which used a similar style as the one seen here.
