It was only a month ago when 4A Games announced that their acclaimed first person shooter Metro: Last Light and Metro 2033 were going to get another version. The Metro Redux has now received a release date; the game will be unleashed onto the United States market on August 26.

This comes right at the tail of another release date announcement making it two for the day – previously Infamous First Light’s release date was announced to be the same.

If you don’t know what Metro Redux is about, let us enlighten you. It includes the remastered versions of Metro: Last Light as well as Metro 2033. Upon releasing, it will bring you all the downloadable content along with graphical improvements.

That being said, you can buy the Redux versions of both the titles separately as well as together. Both the titles bought along with all DLC will cost you $24.99 each or you can get them together in the Metro Redux edition for a price tag of $49.99.

If you still think that is a lot to pay for the titles, being a Steam subscriber will be of good use to you. Currently the two games are being sold for half the price if you get them separately.

The game has been developed for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Apart from releasing in the US on August 26, Metro Redux will be releasing in the European territories three days later on August 29, 2014.
