Batman: Arkham Knight PS4-Exclusive Scarecrow Nightmare Pack Unveiled
Sony’s E3 2014 Press Conference ended with Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight. During the demonstration, Sony announced that Batman: Arkham Knight will have exclusive PlayStation 4 content in the form of Scarecrow Nightmare missions.
Speaking of Rocksteady’s trilogy, Scarecrow first appeared in Batman: Arkham Asylum and had minor Easter Eggs in Batman: Arkham City.
Under the heading ‘Terror Unleashed’, PlayStation Weblog has described Scarecrow Nightmare Pack as:
Gotham falls victim to Scarecrow’s fear toxin, transforming the famous city into a twisted, hellish nightmare in the Batman: Arkham Knight Scarecrow Nightmare Pack.
Tear through the city in the all-new Batmobile and face off against a towering vision of Scarecrow and his undead army as they spread terror on the streets, available exclusively on PlayStation 4.
From its description, it does seem like we will be seeing a lot of hallucination scenes, the likes of which were witnessed in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Scarecrow was expected to be one of the main villains in the game, along with Penguin, Arkham Knight, and Two-Faced, but with this platform-exclusive pack, it’s become unclear to what extent we will see him in the game on other platforms.
Batman: Arkham Knight was originally scheduled to release in Oct. 2014, but got delayed to 2015. Now, if a listing on Microsoft Store is to be believed, the game will launch on Feb. 24, 2015 across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
