Hyrule Warriors Link Trailer Shows off Character and Some Gameplay

By   /   Jun 20, 2014

The mash-up between Dynasty Warriors and The Legend of Zelda was expected to be exciting, and it is. Tecmo Koei has released a new Hyrule Warriors Link trailer which despite being all Japanese (linguistically and otherwise) and short, has managed to grab our attention.

In the trailer you see the protagonist from The Legend of Zelda, Link taking on an army of enemies as well as a dragon. The combat system is pretty smooth as you can see and there seems to be a lot of focus on dodging skills. Moreover, the animations are worthy of a praise as well.

The trailer starts off with Link gearing up to charge onto these orange minions, then there is a sword wielding, a fire breathing monster and finally, the big dragon that he puts down with a blow to the head – after a lot of dodging and jumping around.

Hyrule Warriors is slated for a release on Wii U in Japan on August 14, in the European Union on September 19, Australian region on September 20 and finally in the North American territories on September 26, 2014.
