The real money auction house of Diablo 3 was gaining popularity among the users as they were able to purchase and sell the important game items to other players.
However, developers decided to stop this program right away as it was killing the gameplay experience for players because everything was available on auction house and players were not doing any effort to get these items by playing the game. So on 18th of March, developers officially shut down the auction of real money and gold items.
The auction was kept active after shutdown so that people who have any unclaimed items or gold in completed tabs, will retrieve them in the given time. But now, it has been announced that on June 24, gold and real money auctions will be shutdown completely.
The developer does have a point there as many people purchase gold items from auction house and use them in the game, which kills the whole fun of game experience.
Diablo 3, the most recent entry in popular series is now available for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version heading your way this August.
Do you have any item left in completed tab on real money auction house? Let us know what you think of this shut down?
