Pro Cycling Manager 2014 Has Two Names And A Trailer
In anticipation of the game’s imminent release, publisher Focus Home Interactive put up a launch trailer for Pro Cycling Manager 2014. It doesn’t really have anything to say about features or any of that, but there is a ton of biking involved.
Depending on where you buy the game, however, you may see it called something else. On consoles, it bears the name Tour de France 2014.
We have no idea why a name separation between PC and consoles is necessary, but branding is probably more important for impulse retail purchases on consoles. Tour de France 2014 is available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and on the new consoles for the first time with a Playstation 4 version.
The launch is no coincidence either. It’s only two more weeks until the Tour de France starts.
In this particular section of cycling, the elaborate French race is regarded as the pinnacle of each year’s season. Still, it’s not all Pro Cycling Manager 2014 will have to offer. There will be over 70 races and 130 classics to tackle, as well as different disciplines.
In Pro Cycling Manager 2014, you’re the head of a team of cyclist athletes. You’re in charge of hiring new names, training schedules and setting up a calendar.
Moreover, one of the more thrilling parts in the game is that you’re able to relay tactics to the squad during the race. Doing so, you can call out for key players to try and escape the pack, manage condition and so on.
