Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark Trailer Sees The Return of Escalation Mode

By   /   Jun 18, 2014

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will be bringing back the Escalation survival mode where players partner up to fight off enemy waves.

In a new trailer released by Activision earlier today, that brutal mode is shown in action. Players can unlock more than 40 characters to use in his mode; as well as being able to augment each one to make it more powerful to withstand enemies.

With each wave, the enemies will become stronger and more lethal; making it very important that players invest their points in the right order to upgrade their robots. Additionally it goes without saying that each of the 40 unlockable characters will feature a unique set of skills and “tactical edge.”

Last month it was revealed that the game will feature three different versions of Optimus Prime. First is the classic G1 Optimus Prime which we would all remember from the 80′s cartoon series. The second one is Cybertron Prime, while the third and final one is the Michael Bay’s version.

Players this time around will have to go on the hunt for an ancient relic which is as powerful as the Matrix of Leadership – the Dark Spark. Much like its predecessor, you’ll be switching between the Autobots and Decepticons throughout the game’s single-player campaign.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is the third entry in the ‘War for Cybertron’ series and will be released alongside the movie that’s being directed once again by Michael Bay.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will release June 24 for PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and 3DS. The Escalation mode will not be included in the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game.
