The Sims 4 Won’t Have Apartments in the Base Game, Says Developer
According to one of Sims 4 developers, there won’t be any apartments in the base game.
Sarah Holding, one of the developers working on The Sims 4 was asked over Twitter to clarify what the 5 lots thing was about and if there would be any apartments that the players can build. Holding’s reply was pretty clear; you will have The Sims 3 building facilities for now.
@Libra_Style Right now you can just build houses and community lots, like in The Sims 3 base game.

Last year an email was sent by Maxis to some of the EB subscribers, one paragraph of which referred to the existence of apartments without clarifying how when and where:
“The long wait for The Sims is over, and it’s looking better than ever! In the newly announced Sims 4 you can create the stories you’ve always wanted to tell. Will you make dramatic love triangles or generation long family feuds? Create the mansion of your dreams or make your Sims tough it out in a shabby apartment? You can do all this and so much more in The Sims 4!”
This news had caused a lot of excitement among the fans of the series but now it looks like either there won’t be any apartments or they will be added to the game at a later date.
Maxis has announced that The Sims 4 will be released for PC on September 2, are you ready for it? Will the absence of apartments put you off?
