Tetris Ultimate is Also Headed to Nintendo 3DS
If Nintendo of Europe’s list of upcoming games is to be believed, Tetris Ultimate is also headed to Nintendo 3DS.
At Ubisoft’s E3 2014 Press Conference, the publisher announced that the game is headed to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC without the slightest mention of Nintendo platforms. It is hard to say whether it was done on purpose or unintentionally, but rest assured that the game will surely release on 3DS.
I was surprised by the announcement since skipping Nintendo platforms does not make any sense as Tetris enjoyed one of its finest limelight periods during its release on Nintendo’s handheld, Game Boy.
Another thing that has surprised me is that the game will not come on Wii U. There is no doubt that this console is more than capable of handling the game and it’s a shame to deprive it of such an amazing title.
Anyway, the release document that we received – courtesy of My Nintendo News – has slated the game for an autumn release which is same as the PC release window. As for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, they will see a summer release date that will coincide with the franchise’s 30th birthday.
In related news, Ubisoft has announced that the forthcoming game will run at 1080p with 60 Frames per Second across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Why do you think the game failed to see a Wii U version? Let us know!
