Amazon Opens Pre-Orders For Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege

As is customary with Ubisoft’s E3 media briefings, the studio did yet another surprise reveal this year to end their E3 2014 press conference where they announced Tom Clancy’s: Rainbow Six Siege.

Inspired by actual counter terrorist operations across the world, Rainbow 6 Siege offers gameplay in a more serious tone. With tense tactical mechanics for a shooter, the game has players planning out strategies as they step into close quarters to rescue hostages or care packages from highly armed terrorists.

Compared to previous installments, enemies this time around are going to be more tougher. They will hold the power to transform their hideouts into fortress, rigged with traps, explosives and what not. As counter terrorists, the players will have to first find a proper safe way to get inside, either forcing through the walls, floors, windows and then head out to clear each room.

Today online retailer Amazon started taking pre-orders for the game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The release date is pegged for December 31, 2015, which is obviously a place holder. If anything, the game might look to release in Q4 next year.

Ubisoft has not mentioned any collector’s or special edition for the game. Amazon right now is holding no incentives or bonuses for pre-ordering the game.
