E3 2014 Trailers and Gameplay Videos Round-Up – Watch Everything From E3

Being the first E3 following the launch of next-gen consoles, it drew everyone’s utmost attention.

Microsoft learnt from its mistakes at last year’s show and heavily focused on both quality and quantity of games. Sony, knowing the tactics of how to win the show, emerged as savior of indie developers along with showcasing long awaited titles.

Both Electronic Arts and Ubisoft had stacks of surprises for fans that totally stole the show. And finally, we had Nintendo coming out strong with their unique ideas and amazing games.

All in all, this year’s show brought loads of unseen surprises, major announcements, and a show not worth missing.

Homefront: The Revolution

Release Date: Release Date: 2015

Co-published by Deep Silver and Crytek UK, Homefront: The Revolution takes the fight to North Korea who has decided to take fight to United States. Developed using CryEngine, there isn’t any question regarding game’s visual fidelity which can be judged from gameplay trailer below!

Battlefield: Hardline

Release Date: October 21, 2014

Developed by Visceral Games – who worked on Dead Space franchise – Battlefield: Hardline takes a different route than its predecessors by featuring the never-ending battle between Cops and Crooks. The game heavily focuses on multiplayer aspect and has undergone a public beta since its E3 announcement.

Killer Instinct: Season 2
Platforms: Xbox One
Release Date: Fall 2014

Xbox One’s exclusive free-to-play fighting title, Killer Instinct is expected to enter Season 2 in fall, later this year. The announcement trailer that we saw showcases a new character TJ: a boxer with all his fancy rather deadly moves and combos. Check it out below!

Sunset Overdrive

Release Date: Oct. 28, 2014

Developed by Insomniac Games, exclusively for Xbox One, Sunset Overdrive has only one motto: Bring the Destruction. This Tony Hawk/Prince of Persia movement styled game is humorous, heavily focused on destruction, and a true eye-candy.

Halo 5: Guardians

Release Date: 2015 (Beta Release Date = Dec. 27, 2014)

Microsoft’s baby and one of the biggest system-seller, Halo 5: Guardians is scheduled for a 2015 release date with a beta scheduled for Dec. 27, 2014. Anyone with Halo: Master Chief Collection will be entitled to enter the beta. Promised to run at 1080p/60FPS, Halo 5: Guardians will have dedicated servers and is expected to be biggest game of 2015.

Rise of the Tomb Raider
Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 not yet confirmed)
Release Date: Holidays 2015

One of the biggest E3 surprises for me was the announcement of another Lara Croft game. Rise of the Tomb Raider follows the Tomb Raider 2013 and her traumatic condition after the events of the previous game.

Halo: Master Chief Collection
Platforms: Xbox One
Release Date: Nov. 11, 2014

The rumors of Halo: Master Chief Collection has been in the news for over a long time and they happen to be true!

Being exclusively developed for Xbox One, Halo: Master Chief Collection will contain HD versions of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4 on 1080p/60FPS with dedicated servers.

Anyone buying this lot for $60 will also gain beta access to Halo 5: Guardians.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity

Release Date: Oct. 28, 2014

Skipping last-gen this year, Ubisoft has decided to bring in some changes to how Assassin’s Creed is played.

Featuring four players’ co-op, Assassin’s Creed: Unity is set during French Revolution featuring a new protagonist, Arnold Victor Dorian along with his three Assassin mates who will serve the co-op experience.

Players will also see some major gameplay changes like ability to drop down ledges directly after a leap of faith. Check out the trailer below and share your impressions!

Fable: Legends

Release Date: Fall 2014

Developed by Lionhead Studios using their custom-lightning for Unreal Engine 4, Fable: Legends will feature a four-play co-op with the ability to either play as a hero or villain in different camera perspectives.

The game does look a lot of fun with each character with its own set of abilities that they can be utilized to bring down toughest of the mobs.

Scalebound
Platforms: Xbox One
Release Date: TBA

Developed by Platinum Games exclusively for Xbox One, the first look at Scalebound reminds me of Nero from Devil May Cry franchise. This hack and slash game allows you to ride dragons and slay monster in a way that Devil May Cry featured.

Crackdown
Platforms: Xbox One
Release Date: TBA

Crackdown or Crackdown 3, the long-awaited shoot ’em up from Microsoft was revealed at Microsoft’s E3 conference.

Using Microsoft’s Cloud Computing technology, Crackdown will bring the best of destruction without sacrificing frame rates. Super-humans with their mindboggling tech were shown at E3 which left everyone amazed.

INSIDE
Platforms: First on Xbox One (Other platforms unconfirmed)
Release Date: 2015

From the creators of LIMBO, comes another dark-themed platformer dubbed as INSIDE. Revolving around a young boy, the game’s art style and sound effects are enough to leave anyone fascinated.

The game is expected to release first on Xbox One as a part of an agreement between Microsoft and the game’s developer. Other platforms are not yet confirmed!

Tom Clancy’s The Division
Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC
Release Date: 2015

Tom Clancy’s The Division has experienced multiple delays and every time I see a new footage, it gets me hyped! With this game, Ubisoft is adding a new squad under Tom Clancy’s belt – like Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six franchises – which is experienced in these kinds of scenarios.

The Witcher 3

Even with so many RPGs coming in later year, The Witcher 3 manages to stand out! E3 demo that we saw featured Geralt of Rivia in the city of Novigrad after battling with a Grphon.

Featuring a massive open-world with different climates, The Witcher 3 is surely going to be one of the biggest games of 2015.

Ori and the Blind Forest
Platforms: Xbox One
Release Date: TBA

Developed by Moon Studios, Ori and the Blind Forest is yet another Xbox One exclusive and you bet, it looks stunning!

The mere trailer of this 2D platformer tells how emotionally-compelling the game is going to be. Sadly, we don’t have many details to share right now, but you can check the trailer below and know for yourself!

Evolve

Release Date: Oct. 21, 2014

From the creators of Left 4 Dead, Evolve is another co-op shooter asking you to be the ultimate monster killer or be the monster itself! The game will have exclusive beta access and DLC for Xbox One.

The Crew

This MMO racer from Ubisoft has promised to deliver a perfect blend of MMO and Racing genres in a gigantic open-world.

You’ll be a part of a crew and cruise together through different cities, completing quests, and challenging other racers for complete domination and claim the title of ultimate crew.

Chariot

This year’s E3 was swarming with platformer(s)!

Developed by Frima Games, Chariot is physics-based co-op platformer that encourages working together to go through the game.

Forced

This tactical arena co-op is an arcade adventure with loads of puzzles and tactical elements where you must complete deadly trials and kill fierce enemies.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

All RPG fanatics out there have something to root for before The Witcher 3 comes out, thanks to Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Inquisition has everything a RPG fan would want: gorgeous open-world, plethora of side-quest, an engaging storyline (Well, one can only hope), battling fierce monsters, and dragons. Check out the trailer below and let us know of your impressions!

FIFA 15

Powered by the new Ignite Engine, FIFA 15 will raise the standards for FIFA franchise. The crowd feels much livelier with stress and tear on each player’s face as the match progresses.

EA has evidently has put in a lot of effort into making this one which is why it may not appear on last-gen consoles.

Star Wars: Battlefront

Fans have been clamoring for Star Wars: Battlefront for ages now and the reward for their patience are truly fruitful.

Although we couldn’t get any in-game footage or teaser trailer, behind the scenes trailer was equally amazing, giving fans an idea of what to expect from the iteration.

Destiny

The most expensive game of all time, Bungie’s MMO FPS, Destiny has managed to gather quite a hype following its announcement.

Featuring three different classes to choose from, Bungie has promised to deliver an even better experience than Halo did. The game is currently in Public Alpha Phase with the final version to release on Sep. 9 on consoles only.

Lifeless Planet

Release Date: Jun. 6, 2014

Created by Stage 2 Studios, Lifeless Planet is a puzzle platformer whose difficulty increases as a player progresses through it. Check out the trailer below and let us know of your impressions!

Killzone: Shadow Fall Intercept

Don’t Starve: Reign of Giants

Containing new items, characters, and environments, Reign of Giants is the first paid DLC for Don’t Starve: An action-adventure survival video game developed by Klei Entertainment for PC and PlayStation 4.

Far Cry 4

Release Date: Nov. 18, 2014

From Vaas-inspired Pagan Min to beautifully crafted Himalayas, from rideable elephants to 2 player co-op mode; Far Cry 4 has everything a shooter needs.

Set in the majestic city of Himalayas, Far Cry 4 will feature a vast open-world, a lively Kyrat, and competitive multiplayer/co-op mode.

Madden NFL ’15
Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4
Release Date: Aug, 29, 2014

Developed by Electronic Arts, Madden NFL ’15 is powered by Ignite Engine which is used to create FIFA 15. Similar to FIFA 15, the game will feature lively crowd with improved physics and players’ expressions. Check out the trailer below for the first look of the game:

Dance Central Spotlight

Dance Central Spotlight was announced at Microsoft’s E3 presentation, exclusively for Xbox One. Featuring a number of locations like Airport and Underground Subway, the game will see return of Miss Aubrey, Taye, and Hi-Def.

The Evil Within
Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC
Release Date: Oct. 24, 2014

Developed by Japanese Studio Tango Gameworks, the game is developed by Shinji Mikami who is known as the pioneer of horror-survival games. Inspired by Resident Evil franchise, the game is known to encourage scavenging supplies and evading danger to ensure your survival.

Mirror’s Edge Reboot
Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC
Release Date: Q2 2016

Revolving around Faith’s past, Mirror’s Edge 2 is currently in development by DICE.

The E3 developer’s diary of the game showcased how the devs have improved the movement mechanics of the game and how the game utilizes the movement to take out enemies and traverse through the environment to find quickest routes to your destination.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox 360 PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC
Release Date: Nov. 4, 2014

Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is said to bring out the true next-gen experience. Although the game has been criticized for being a Halo/Titanfall/Crysis clone, it has impressed most of its core fans.

Featuring House of Cards’ star, Kevin Spacey, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is said to take the franchise to a new level.

Grand Theft Auto V

The rumors of a next-gen port of Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V have been in the news for quite a long time. Settling down all these rumors, speculations, and expectations, Sony announced that latest iteration of Rockstar Games’ popular franchise is finally headed to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Abzu

Developed by developers behind Journey, Abzu will take players deep into the water, featuring music of Grammy-Winner Austin Wintory.

Dead Island 2

Developed by Deep Silver Games, Dead Island 2 will introduce a comical touch to the game which follows the event of the original Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide.

Developed by Suda51 exclusively for PlayStation 4, Let it Die is one bloody game. Currently the details regarding the game are scarce, but you can expect more information in days to come.

No Mans Sky

‘Virtually Infinite Universe’, this is what defines No Mans Sky. The procedurally generated video game primarily focuses on exploration and somewhat on combat.

The E3 trailer that we saw presented us with vibrant colors and amazing depth-of-field in a universe which does look like infinite.

Magicka 2
Platforms: PlayStation 4 (Other platforms not confirmed)
Release Date: TBA

Developed by Paradox Interactive, the E3 announcement of Magicka 2 showcased an unemployed wizard who somehow sets his cat on fire. We also managed to see some of the gameplay sneak peak, but nothing to form an opinion.

The Order: 1886

Just like Tom Clancy’s The Division, PlayStation 4’s exclusive action-adventure title, The Order: 1886 has suffered from a lot of delays. The game is set in an alternate-history with dark and gloomy environment.

The E3 preview of the game gave us a glimpse of what to expect from the game when it will launch on Feb. 20, 2015

Batman: Arkham Knight

Rocksteady’s finale of Batman trilogy was originally planned to release in 2014, but somehow got delayed to next year.

For the first time in any Batman game, the players will be able to drive Bat-Mobile and cruise through the liveliest Gotham City ever created!

The game will also feature a new villain Arkham Knight who will test the best of Batman’s abilities and will give him the ultimate challenge.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Just when everyone thought Sony didn’t have anything to show on God of War or Uncharted 4, everyone got a surprised teaser trailer for the Uncharted finale dubbed as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Mortal Kombat X

Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat X is the latest entry in the popular fighting game franchise which pits two players against each other in offline/online modes.

The announcement trailer of the game featured Sub-Zero and Scorpion while the E3 trailer introduced a couple of more fighters.

Bloodborne

Previously code-named Project Beast, Blood-Borne is developed by Dark Souls developer From Softworks and is expected to run at 1080p/30 frames per second.

Criterion Games’ Racing Title

Not much is known about this first-person racing title except that it will feature a wide array of cars, helicopters, jet-ski, and bikes.

Since Need for Speed is taking a break this year, it looks like Criterion Games are spending its time well. Check out the demonstration below to find out more!

Developed by Slightly Mad Studios, Project Cars is a racing game, best known for its amazing visual fidelity and Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift support on PlayStation 4 and PC.

Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo’s E3 Digital Event was heavily focused on Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo announced a couple of new fighters along with Toy Project Amiibo support. Furthermore, players will be able to customize their Miis and join in the battle.

Yoshi’s Wooly World
Platforms: Nintendo Wii U
Release Date: 2015

Yoshi’s Wooly World takes players in a world entirely made up of yarn. In addition to the game’s world, all monsters and NPCs are also made up of threads.

Heavily focusing on exploration, Yoshi’s Wooly World will feature both single-player and 2-players co-op mode.

The Legend of Zelda for Wii U

One of the highly anticipated games for Nintendo Wii U was announced at Nintendo E3 Digital Event. Although we didn’t receive many details, it is certain that the game will feature an open-world and will land on Wii U.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Remake of popular Pokémon iteration is headed to Nintendo 3DS in this November. Featuring Mega Evolutions, Legendary Pokémon, and more, the game will allow players to explore the lands of Hoenn once more.

Bayonetta 2

Release Date: October, 2014

2010’s popular hack and slash is going to be a Nintendo Wii U’s exclusive this time around. Featuring two-player multiplayer co-op, Bayonetta 2 will hit the store shelves in October, 2014.

Hyrule Warriors

Mixing the characters from Zelda and fighting style of Dynasty Warriors, Hyrule Warriors has been in the news for over a year now. Aside from announcing a couple of characters, we received the release date of the game at Nintendo’s Digital Event.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse

Release Date: 2015

Out of many games, a direct sequel to Kirby: Canvas Curse was teased at Nintendo’s Digital Event which is scheduled to hit the store racks in 2015 exclusively for Wii U.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Featuring an open-world, Xenoblade Chronicles X is a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles which will pit players (robots) against an alien invasion.

Mario Maker

This game making application will allow players to create Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. HD art styled levels, obstacles, and monsters.

Splatoon
Platforms: Wii U
Release Date: 2015

Featuring multiplayer mode upto 8-players, Splatoon is a third-person shooter pitting 8 characters against each other where players can choose to be either human characters or squids to take down their enemies.

Mario Party 10
Platforms: Wii U

Another game to feature Amiibo support, Mario Party 10 puts four characters from Mario Universe against Bowser (controlled by another player).
