Battlefield: Hardline Beta Will Also Come to Xbox, Will be a Different Version
Battlefield: Hardline Beta that started on PlayStation 4 and PC at E3 is still going on, however, DICE has promised that users of other platforms will also be able to beta test the game before the official release.
In an interview with OXM, General Manager of DICE, Karl Magnus Troedsson said:
We will have a beta on all platforms before release, but it won’t be this beta on Xbox. It’s not going to be the same version, just to be clear.
Battlefield 4 suffered from number of issues and developer doesn’t want the same thing to happen again.
Due to this reason, DICE is looking start early access programs that will help ensure more stable launch for Battlefield: Hardline.
We basically have code in the hands of players already, here at E3. We’ve never done that before. We do it both because we want their feedback of course, but also because in the background we are testing various things. We’re going to continue doing more tests like this.
Battlefield: Hardline slightly sidesteps from the other Battlefield games as it focuses on the crime in an open city, instead of War Zones.
The leading developer on the title, Visceral Games has promised that this time, a lot of attention has been paid to single player campaign to make the experience worthwhile for the players.
On the other hand, Multiplayer will involve fights between robbers and cops as robbers will try to escape with the money, while cops will do everything in their power to stop them.
Battlefield: Hardline is scheduled to release on 21st of October for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC.
