Angry Birds: Transformers Announced For September
Rovio’s Angry Birds franchise is going to be crossing over into the Transformers universe in the upcoming Angry Birds: Transformers game.
A press release reveals that the game will be released on multiple platforms, including mobile devices and will see to a new product line from Hasbro featuring the Telepods.
“We’re really excited to combine the iconic Transformers universe with the quirky world of Angry Birds,” said Blanca Juti, Chief Marketing Officer of Rovio. “This mash-up is going to appeal to both those who grew up with the brand in the 80’s, as well as fans of the brand today. People are going to love it!”
The Telepod technology enables users to scan toys into their games, a concept that became severely popular thanks to Skylanders.
Additionally it is said that the new title will be an installment in the Angry Birds GO racing series that will bring new sets of characters, courses and of course the Transformers theme. Though Rovio has yet to officially pass a statement regarding this.

- Bumblebee (Chuck)
- Heatwave (Terence)
- Unknown/Springer? (Hal)
- Matrix (Egg)
- Unknown/Megatron? (Mustache Pig)
- Unknown/Spike? (Pig)
Angry Birds: Transformers will launch in September this year.
