Xbox One’s July System Update Bringing Five New Features
Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, better known to the community as Major Nelson, has posted a new blog entry thanking all Xbox users for their valuable feedback.
He highlighted Xbox Feedback, a dedicated channel set up for this purpose, on how it has proven to be wonderful for the Xbox team. So far more than 65,000 users have suggested more than 4300 ideas and contributed over 180,000 votes.
“We can’t wait to dig into your ideas and explore what may be possible for the future of Xbox,” he said.
In the mean time, Xbox One users can prepare themselves for the next system update that’s scheduled to release in July. Here’s what features it will be boasting:
Snap Mode for Achievements
Tracking and viewing your achievements is now going to be more easier. Achievements can be tracked in real time without ever leaving the game and players can also get help on any achievement they are stuck with. The console will scan the web and provide relevant tips and guides to unlock the said trophy.
Double-tap to Snap
Double-tapping the button on your controller will bring up Snap Center, where you can launch Achievements or any other snap-able app, without leaving your game.
Choice of Spoken Language
Folks in New Zealand, Ireland and Austria, with this update in July, will be able to select voice control using the English or German voice models from other countries.
Future Digital Bundles and Compilation Discs
Publishers will have better options for great digital bundle and disc compilation offerings in the future. This feature is currently in testing and will be improved with time.
‘Like’ Game DVR clips
You will be able to ‘Like’ all your favorite Game DVR clips as well as activity feed items in SmartGlass.
